After distillation is before filtration. Well, at least when it comes to our Classic Proof. Once we reduced it to drinking strength we are filtrating it. Otherwise it would be too cloudy. As careful as we are picking our botanicals, as gentle we handle the filtration. After all we want to preserve as many essential oils as possible – for the most diverse flavour. So mixing makes the Classic Proof kind of cloudy again.
We abstain form filtrating the Overproof. When we are reducing its alcoholic content to 57%, the Navy Strength, it doesn't become cloudy anyway. Which also means we can tap the full potential of essential oils and their flavour.
To manifacture our Sloe Gin, we macerate the distilled gin once again – so we are macerating a second time. We use sloeberries and mix it with sugar. After a couple of weeks it is strained and ready to drink. Our Sloberry STIN is naturally cloudy without additives or preservatives.
