The manual sealing makes every bottle unique

In order to become a STIN, gin needs lots of manual work. Johannes and Reinhard still take each step themselves and value nothing more than highest quality.

STIN Zutaten

Alltogether STIN consists of 28 botanicals – not only fruits but also condiments

Our Styrian Dry Gin is produced strictly on the method of London Dry Gin. First, we macerate our agrarian alcohol with our 28 botanicals for a few days. Macerate, by the way, basically means soaking und this is what it is: soaking our botanicals in alcohol. The flavours develop.

We then distill the liquid and reduce it to drinking strength by using Styrian spring water. If you produce a London Dry Gin like we do, you are not allowed to add additives or preservatives. And this is what we mean when we say: strict method. We take this very seriously.

Highest quality is our top priority, therefore we distill in small batches.

STIN is traditionally distilled in a copper kettle and in small batches

We distill STIN traditionally in a copper kettle – carefully in small batches. In doing so the distinctive taste develops through the small batch method.

The STIN is exclusively distilled by the two producers

Tying: hundreds of years old tradition to seal spirits

After distillation is before filtration. Well, at least when it comes to our Classic Proof. Once we reduced it to drinking strength we are filtrating it. Otherwise it would be too cloudy. As careful as we are picking our botanicals, as gentle we handle the filtration. After all we want to preserve as many essential oils as possible – for the most diverse flavour. So mixing makes the Classic Proof kind of cloudy again.

We abstain form filtrating the Overproof. When we are reducing its alcoholic content to 57%, the Navy Strength, it doesn't become cloudy anyway. Which also means we can tap the full potential of essential oils and their flavour.

To manifacture our Sloe Gin, we macerate the distilled gin once again – so we are macerating a second time. We use sloeberries and mix it with sugar. After a couple of weeks it is strained and ready to drink. Our Sloberry STIN is naturally cloudy without additives or preservatives.

STIN Labelling

Every bottle STIN is bottled by hand and plugged with natural cork. Tying and sealing with wax is also done manually and is not just for design but especially important for a safe sealing.
